This is a circa late World War II patch-type distinctive insignia for the United States Army 85th Infantry Division, aka "Custer Division". The insignia has a red "CD" at its center.
VINTAGE:Circa late World War II.
SIZE:Approximately 7/8" in diameter.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Gilt brass, enamel.
ATTACHMENT:Vertical pin with come-under locking swivel catch.
MARKINGS:None.
