This is a circa late World War II patch-type distinctive insignia for the United States Army 1st Army. The insignia is a capital A against a red and white background.

Circa late World War II.

Approximately 1-3/16" in height and 13/16" in width.

Gilt brass, enamel.

Vertical pin with come-under locking swivel catch.
