This is a circa late World War II patch-type distinctive insignia for the United States 3rd Army. The insignia The insignia is a three-dimensional number three with a star.
VINTAGE:Circa late World War II.
SIZE:Approximately 15/16" in diameter.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Gilt brass, enamel.
ATTACHMENT:Vertical pin with come-under locking swivel catch.
MARKINGS:None.
ITEM NOTES:This is from a United States Army collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months VAX12 LX11/12
CONDITION:8 (Excellent-): The DI shows very little wear.
