Description
This is a great late World War II Italian Air Force Officer visor hat from the RSI (Repubblica Sociale Italiana) period. There would originally have been a crown above the bullion eagle insignia, but it was removed to demonstrate allegiance to the Fascist cause. Even the buttons holding the chin strap on are "crownless", and appear to have been manufactured that way. The hat is in wonderful condition with a great Coruzzolo manufacturer label inside.
