ARTIFACT:

This is a circa World War II Italian Air Force officer crew variant badge. The badge reads EQUIPAGGIO DI VOLO (flight crew) and shows a winged fasces with a crown at its top. The badge does not have enameled lettering, as do other air crew badges, but has an enameled red crown.

VINTAGE:

Circa World War II.

SIZE:

Approximately 1" in height and 11/16" in width.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Plated brass, enameled details.

ATTACHMENT:

Vertical safety-style pin.

MARKINGS:

None.
