This is a circa late 1950s Special Police badge from Lexington, Massachusetts. The badge is in a shirt size meant for summer wear. The badge has a raised medallion at its center showing the town's seal. Around the seal are the words WHAT A GLORIOUS MORNING FOR AMERICA.
VINTAGE:Circa late 1950s.
SIZE:Approximately 2-1/8" in height and 1-1/2" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Nickel-plated brass.
ATTACHMENT:Vertical pin with large come-under locking swivel catch.
MARKINGS:None.
