This is a late 1950s Japanese-made distinctive insignia for the United States Army 81st Armored Regiment. The DI is a crest bearing a crossed weapon and a key and reads SUPERO OMNIA (I surpass everything).
VINTAGE:Circa late 1950s.
SIZE:Approximately 1-1/8" in height 1-1/16" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Gold-plated brass with enamel.
ATTACHMENT:Two posts.
MARKINGS:JAPAN.
