Description
This is a late 1940s United States Navy aircraft navigational (flight) computer Mark 8 named to Don Bozell on its reverse. Two discs with information to aid a pilot in correcting for air speed are connected at their centers and the top one spins so that different combinations may be dialed up.
VINTAGE:Circa late 1940's.
SIZE:Approximately 4-5/16" in diameter.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Oaktag, metal.
ATTACHMENT:Fastener allowing discs to swivel; four tabs with holes.
MARKINGS:F.S.S.C. NO. 85-C-1150 CONTRACT NO. 99820 G. FELSENTHAL & SONS CHICAGO; DON BOZELL written on reverse.
