This is a late 1940s pinback lapel pin in the shape of a Constellation aircraft. The "Connie", as the Lockheed product was nicknamed, was produced from 1943 through 195Largely billed as a civilian aircraft, the Constellation also participated in the Berlin Airlift and transported President Eisenhower. The pin is a Connie as seen obliquely from its side.
VINTAGE:Circa late 1940s.
SIZE:Approximately 1/4" in height and 7/8" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Gold-plated brass.
ATTACHMENT:Horizontal pin with C catch.
MARKINGS:None.

CONDITION:8 (Excellent-): The pin shows some very light wear and tarnish.
