This is a late 1940s lapel pin in the shape of a Constellation aircraft. The "Connie", as the Lockheed product was nicknamed, was produced from 1943 through 195Largely billed as a civilian aircraft, the Constellation also participated in the Berlin Airlift and transported President Eisenhower. The pin is a Connie as seen obliquely from its side.
VINTAGE:Circa late 1940s.
SIZE:Approximately 5/16" in height and 7/8" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Gold-plated brass.
ATTACHMENT:Single screw post with nut/disc backing.
MARKINGS:None.
