ARTIFACT: This is a late 1940s sterling silver lapel pin in the shape of a Constellation aircraft. The "Connie", as the Lockheed product was nicknamed, was produced from 1943 through 1958. Largely billed as a civilian aircraft, the Constellation also participated in the Berlin Airlift and transported President Eisenhower. The pin is an aerial shot of the Connie.

VINTAGE: Circa late 1940s.

SIZE: Approximately 3/8" x 9/16"

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Sterling silver, plated brass backing.

ATTACHMENT: Single screw post with disc backing.

MARKINGS: SS.
