This is a 1940s gold-filled lapel pin in green enamel by Balfour for Colonial Airlines. Originally christened in 1928 as Canadian Colonial Airways, Colonial was renamed May 1, 1942 and operated through the 1950s, when it merged with Eastern. The wing shows a rather minimalist seagull or wing at center.
VINTAGE:Circa 1940s.
SIZE:1-1/4" height and 1" width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Gold-filled with enamel.
ATTACHMENT:Single screw post with disc backing.
MARKINGS:LGB 1/10 10K GF.

CONDITION:8 (Excellent-): Pin has very light tarnish and a very minor abrasion on enamel.
