Description
This is a circa late 1930s or World War II visor hat for an Italian high political leader. The front of the hat bears a striking golden bullion eagle perched upon a fasces against purple velvet. The hat has some nice raised detailing on the hatband, a bullion corded chin strap and overall gold piping. It was made in Naples and has a clear manufacturer tag inside.
VINTAGE:Circa late 1930s - World War II.
SIZE:Approximate size 7 Ð 7 1/8.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Wool, velvet embroidered in gold bullion, leather, gilt brass, cord, cotton.
ATTACHMENT:Chin strap.
