WWII Italian Fascist Militia (MVSN) "Blackshirts" Veterinary Major Visor Hat

This is a World War II visor hat for an Italian Fascist Militia Veterinary Major. The blue ribbon on the hat indicates that the wearer was a veterinary officer. The golden bullion insignia on the front of the hat is a wing bearing the number 63 sitting beneath a fasces and a star. The hat was made in Rome by Berrettificio and has a clear manufacturer's label inside.

Circa World War II.

Approximate size 7 1/2 to 7-5/8.

Wool, bullion embroidery, embroidery tape, gilt brass, silk, leather.

Chin strap.
