Description
This is a large World War II Caterpillar Club pin on its original card accompanied by its original envelope. The "Caterpillar Club" is a designation given to those servicemen who had successfully bailed out of a compromised aircraft by using a parachute.
VINTAGE:Circa World War II.
SIZE:Pin: approximately 3/8" in height and 1-1/8" in width; card: approximately 1-3/8" in height and 1-5/8" in width; envelope: approximately 2" square.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Sterling silver and black enamel; oaktag; paper.
ATTACHMENT:Horizontal pin with come-under locking swivel catch.
