ARTIFACT: This is a Prussian memorial medal for Frederick III, who died in 1888, also known as the "Year of the Three Emperors". Frederick did not survive his 100 day mark as German Emperor and King of Prussia but instead succumbed to throat cancer just over three months into his rule.

VINTAGE: Circa 1888.

SIZE: 1-9/16" diameter.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Bronze.

ATTACHMENT: Suspension loop.

MARKINGS: N/A.

ITEM NOTES: This is from an Imperial German collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. ebay VAX00 LCJX9/10

CONDITION: 7- (Very Fine-): Medal shows moderate wear and tarnish and spots of oxidation.
