Description
This is a beautiful circa 1910s twenty-five year medal for veterans of the Prussian Uhlan Regiment Uhlan was the term typically used for lancer regiments in the Prussian Army. The top of the medal is a badge shaped like the upper part of a suit of armor flanked by pennants, and reads V.eh.K.2.P.Ul.Regt.The medal itself is a cross that hangs from the badge. It reads F??r Treue im Verein (For loyalty to the group), and has an enameled center bearing the number 25.
VINTAGE:Circa 1910s.
SIZE:Approximately 3-1/4" in height and 1-5/8" in width (not including ribbon).
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Silver-plated brass, enamel, silk ribbon.
ATTACHMENT:Suspension ring, ribbon, vertical kick pin on badge with squared-off C catch.
MARKINGS:None.
