This is a large circa 1950-1952 United States Navy VP-4 Japanese-made jacket patch. The patch shows the sea god Neptune armed with a missile and a trident riding on the back of a turtle equipped with airplane wings.
VINTAGE:Circa 1950-1952.
SIZE:Approximately 5-5/8" in height and 5-3/4" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Fully embroidered in silk/cotton/polyester threads with mesh backing.
MARKINGS:None.

CONDITION:7 (Very Fine): The patch shows some moderate wear and minor fading/discoloration.
