Description

ARTIFACT:

This is an interesting circa 1920s or early 1930s leather flight helmet. The back flap can be worn down for warmth or snapped up off the neck. It also has a short visor and two side snap flaps covering a pair of earholes: the snaps have a neat design to them. The chinstrap is still serviceable.

VINTAGE:

Circa 1920s-early 1930s.

SIZE:

No tag: approximate size 7-1/2 to 8; approximately 11-1/4" from top to bottom of neck guard and 10-3/4" from tip of visor to back (when folded in half).

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Leather, nickel-plated brass.

ATTACHMENT:

Chinstrap, buckle, snaps.
