ARTIFACT:
Classic, iconic, late 1942 – early 1943 USAAF CATF China Air Task Force (became 14th Air Force) large leather jacket patch in multi-piece construction. The patch depicts a yellow winged, wonderfully painted tiger and a five point white star above it with a red circle center, against a background of blue. This example is in unused, superb condition. The CATF replaced the 1st American Volunteer Group (aka "e;Flying Tigers"e;) and was the precursor to the 14th Air Force.

CONDITION:
8+ (Excellent): The patch is in unused condition, shows minor wear, much of the painted details remain intact, overall excellent condition.
