This is a beautiful, unused and minty circa early 1943 shoulder patch for the United States Army Air Forces China Air Task Force (CATF). The patch is Chinese-made and shows a winged tiger and a white and red star. The CATF replaced the 1st American Volunteer Group (aka "Flying Tigers") and was the precursor to the 14th Air Force.
VINTAGE:Circa early 1943 (World War II).
SIZE:Approximately 2-9/16" in diameter.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Silk embroidered in silk thread.
