This is a minty early World War II Chinese made China Air Task Force (CATF) shoulder patch.
The CATF replaced the 1st American Volunteer Group (aka "Flying Tigers") and was the precursor to the 14th Air Force, and this circular patch has a crude design of a winged tiger crouched under a bullion star with a red center made in bullion.
VINTAGE:
Circa Early WWII.
SIZE:About 2-3/4" in diameter.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Bullion embroidered wool felt, silk ribbon, paperboard, linen backing.
ATTACHMENT:To be sewn onto garment.
