ARTIFACT:

This is a circa late nineteenth century country store scale tray. A scale tray of this vintage is hard to find! The tray is made of nickeled brass, and has a small applied plate with a serial number that would have matched up with the scale itself. The curved tray would have sat on a four-point cage.

VINTAGE:

Circa late 19th century.

SIZE:

Approximately 12-5/8" in width and 21-1/8" in length and 5" in height.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Nickeled brass.

MARKINGS:

Applied plate under lip reading 46590.
