ARTIFACT: This is a great copy of "Situation CBI", the WWII unit history of the United States Army 1880th Engineer Aviation Battalion (EAB). The volume covers the group's travels from March 1943 through December 1945, from Geiger Field in Washington State to North Africa, and throughout India, Burma and China. The book has several black and white photographs, a fold-out "Military Odyssey" map and a full roster in the back.

VINTAGE: Published 1945-1946.

SIZE: 237 pages; approximately 11-3/8" in height and 8-3/4" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Embossed cloth-bound cover with painted details, glossy paper.

ATTACHMENT: Glued binding.

MARKINGS: Smith-Crafted Chicago on back cover.
