This beautiful full-size United States Navy officer's cap badge is a very rare model. It was made for medical officers attached to the US Marine Corps (the officer equivalent of an enlisted "Corpsman"). It is a very rare badge made moreso by the fact that it is made in wartime sterling silver and then plated with an oxidized copper. It was also made by the famous and highly desirable manufacturing firm of Pasquale.
VINTAGE:Circa 1943.
SIZE:55 mm by 55 mm.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Sterling silver with an oxidized copper plating.
ATTACHMENT:Screw post.
MARKINGS:STERLING PASQUALE.
