This is a great letter opener from the United States Army 4th Engineers, 4th Division, 3rd Army. Almost looking like a weapon, the letter opener shows a castle with 4F and shows an A surrounded by four stars.
VINTAGE:Circa World War I.
SIZE:8" length and 2-3/4" width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Brass.
MARKINGS:RA 18 on bottom of shaft.

CONDITION:7+ (Very Fine+): This piece shows moderate abrasions and a wonderful tarnish.
