This is a Beautiful World War I shoulder patch for the United States Army 4th Machine Gun Battalion, 2nd Infantry Division. The patch is in a rich purple velvet with a painted muslin star sewn onto its center.
Circa World War I.
Approximately 3-3/16" in width and 4-1/8" in height.
MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION:
Velvet, painted muslin, mesh backing.
To be sewn onto uniform.
