This is a wonderful circa 1930s blazer patch for the International Star Class Yacht Racing Association (I.S.C.Y.R.A.). Established in 1922, the Star Class Association is known as the first one-design racing keel association. The patch is in wool felt embroidered in silk thread and bullion wire. The patch features the association's "historical logo": two earths side by side viewed from two different angles, joined in the center by a red star, with a banner beneath labeled U.S.A.
Approximately 3-7/8" in height and 3-1/8" in width.
MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION:
Wool felt embroidered in silk thread and bullion wire, cloth backing.
To be sewn onto a Blazer.
This is from an early yacht racing collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. MEJX14 LAGEX3/14 SAGEX08/08/21
8 (Excellent-): The patch has some very light wear only.
GUARANTEE: As with all my artifacts, this piece is guaranteed to be original, as described.
