This is a Great Old West 1870's - 1880's Deputy Sheriff Circle Cut Out Star Shield Badge with Hand Stamped Lettering. Observe has a nice old polished yellow surface, Reverse is dark & Grungy. 

1870s - 1880s.

Approximately 2-3/16" in height x 1-13/16" in width.

Nickel-plated nickel with Hand Stamped and painted Lettering.

Vertical kick pin with tongue-type 'C' catch.
