Great 1870s - 1880s Old West Deputy Sheriff Hand Stamped and Hand Formed Shield Shaped Badge

This is a Great 1870's - 1880's Old West Deputy Sheriff Hand Stamped, and Hand Formed Shield Shaped Badge. Nicely hallmarked by early Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania Makers Matthews x000D & Zinn. Many of the early Old West badges like this were made back east by x000D firms such as this one and Tower & Lyon of New York. 

Circa 1870's - 1880's.

Approximately 2-3/16" in height x 1-29/32" in width.3-1/16" x 2"

Nickel plated nickel with painted letter.

Vertical pin with C catch.
