ARTIFACT: This is a Great Old 1940's - 1950's Boston Massachusetts Constable  clamshell Badge. The breast badge reads: "POLICE BOSTON" and in the center disc depicts a port and below it reads: "BOSTONIA CONDITA AD. 1630", around the disc embossed letters read: "SICUT CIVITATIS REGIMINE DONATA AD 1822 PATRIBUS SIT DEUS NOBIS".

VINTAGE: Circa 1940s - 1950s.

SIZE: Approximately 3" x 2-1/4"

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Chrome-plated stamped nickel with painted lettering.

ATTACHMENT: Horizontal kickpin with drop-in locking catch.

MARKINGS: N/A

ITEM NOTES: This is from a Boston Police and Law Enforcement collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VGJM20 LBGEX08/21/20

CONDITION: 9 (Excellent): The badge shows minor to little wear.
