This is a Great Old 1940's - 1950's Boston Massachusetts Constable clamshell Badge. The breast badge reads: "POLICE BOSTON" and in the center disc depicts a port and below it reads: "BOSTONIA CONDITA AD. 1630", around the disc embossed letters read: "SICUT CIVITATIS REGIMINE DONATA AD 1822 PATRIBUS SIT DEUS NOBIS".
VINTAGE:Circa 1940s - 1950s.
SIZE:Approximately 3" x 2-1/4"
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Chrome-plated stamped nickel with painted lettering.
ATTACHMENT:Horizontal kickpin with drop-in locking catch.
