Description

ARTIFACT:

This is a great Korean War era presentation tapestry with 24 bullion, silk and wool Korean Army unit patches. The tapestry was presented to Colonel J. W. Parr, Jr. by Colonel Cho Eun Yung in February 1954.

VINTAGE:

Circa February 1954.

SIZE:

Approximately 1" in length by" in width.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Cotton embroidered with cotton/silk threads; 24 affixed bullion, silk and wool patches.

MARKINGS:

PRESENTED BY FEB-1954 COL. CHO EUN YUNG C.O. 10TH Q.M.B.D.

ITEM NOTES:

CONDITION:

7 (Very Fine): The tapestry has some creasing, very small, localized spots of discoloration and light to medium yellowing but is in great condition otherwise, with a moderate tarnish to the bullion threads.
