ARTIFACT: Great early WWII Free French Pilot Badge made in North Africa and named to United States Army Air Forces Pilot: "DAN H. SEARLE". The badge depicts brass wings in the center of a nickel wreath joined together at the bottom in a bow and the top features a five-pointed brass star. The reverse of the badge shows hand-engraving that reads: "DAN H. SEARLE = 0 - 498302".

VINTAGE: Circa early WWII

SIZE: Approximately 2 1/16" x 1 5/8"

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Nickel and brass

ATTACHMENT: British style kick pin with 'C' clasp.

MARKINGS: "DAN H. SEARLE = 0 - 498302"
