Description
Great circa 1930's New England Telephone & Telegraph / AT&T Bell System two-sided Telephone Payments Porcelain Sign. The 'L' Flange sign is dark blue and white and displays the NE T&T emblem in the center ??? a blue bell with the words: "BELL SYSTEM" across the center, inside a white circle, around which reads: "NEW ENGLAND TELEPHONE AND TELEGRAPH CO. AMERICAN TELEPHONE & TELEGRAPH CO." This wonderful, medium-sized sign has a large presence reading: "TELEPHONE PAYMENTS" in white block letters.
VINTAGE:Circa 1930's.
SIZE:Approximately 20" x 14" ( "lip" 2" wide).
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Two sided porcelain and steel.
ATTACHMENT:Five holes with grommets for mounting.
MARKINGS:None.

CONDITION:8- (Very Fine - Excellent): Scarce sign in exceptional condition, with only a few very small chips to the enamel, and some light rust staining on one side that might polish off.
