This is a circa 1910s or 1920s Deputy Sheriff badge from McKinley County, New Mexico ("McKenly" is obviously a typo). The badge has been worn and has a wonderful patina. This badge is diminutive, but in a typical understated Old West style of a six-point ball-top star. The badge has some nice engraved details.
VINTAGE:Circa 1910s-1920s.
SIZE:Approximately 1-1/2" in height and 1-5/16" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Nickel.
ATTACHMENT:Vertical safety-style pin with saddle.
MARKINGS:None.
