Description

ARTIFACT:

This is a brass deputy sheriff six-point star badge. The badge has a dot and two dashes at center and simply reads DEPUTY SHERIFF.

VINTAGE:

Circa 1910s-1920s.

SIZE:

1-1/2" height and 1-5/16" width.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Brass.

ATTACHMENT:

Vertical pin with tongue type "C" catch.

CONDITION:

7 (Very Fine): Badge shows some areas of light to moderate wear; small area of very faded handwriting on reverse.
