Description
This is a circa 1890s detective six-point star badge for the Standard Detective Agency Secret Service (SDASS) of Chicago, Illinois. Established in 1890, SDASS was a full-service company that offered investigation of missing persons, shadowing of family members and employees, recovery of stolen property, guard service and more. The service worked on a national and international level and did a lot of work for railroads.
VINTAGE:Circa 1890s.
SIZE:Approximately 2-3/16" in height and 1-7/8" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Plated brass.
ATTACHMENT:Vertical safety-style pin.
