Great Old 1880s-1890s Jeweler-Made Detective Secret Service Circle Star Badge

This is a nice old circa 1890s or circa 1900 Detective Ð Secret Service badge from a watch case. It is jeweler-made, and had something engraved across the top before it was polished off about a century ago (the patina matches all around). The badge is in a cut-out circle star design.

Circa 1890s-1900.

Approximately 1-9/16" in diameter.

Nickeled silver.

Horizontal pin with C catch.
