This is a gorgeous badge from the 1st Rifle Regiment in Algeria. The badge is maker-marked and shows a crescent, the Hand of Fatma, and Arabic text, as well as the number 1.
VINTAGE:1947-1950.
SIZE:Approximately 1 " in height by 1 3/8" in width (4.3cm by 3.7cm).
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Silver plated brass.
ATTACHMENT:Two eyelets with a simple safety-style pin attached to the back.
MARKINGS:DRAGO PARIS NICE-25.R.BERANGER.1115-DEPOSE and a maker's mark that shows the letters JD.

CONDITION:7 (Very Fine) This badge shows some wear and tarnishing but is in a generally good condition.
