Description
This is a circa 1954 badge for the 1er Rgiment de Dragons Vietnamiens (1st Vietnamese Dragoon Regiment), a French Colonial armored regiment that also used armored trains during the Indochina war. The badge is by Arthus Bertrand. It shows a fire-breathing dragon with beautifully enameled details including his fiery breath and a red and white checkered flag near his scaly tail.
VINTAGE:Circa 1954.
SIZE:Approximately 1-5/8" in height and 1-3/8" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Silver-plated brass with enamel.
ATTACHMENT:Vertical safety-style pin with saddle.
