This is an early 1950s French 8th Signal Regiment/8me Rgiment de Transmission badge. The insignia depicts the number 8 over a letter T with a shield; on the shield is a phoenix/dragonhead with an open beak and three bolt-like tongues.
VINTAGE:Circa early 1950s.
SIZE:About 1-3/16" in width by 2" in height.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Gold-plated brass with enamel accents.
ATTACHMENT:Vertical safety-style pin with a C catch and a saddle to attach to back.
MARKINGS:AREMAIL PARIS.
