ARTIFACT: This is a badge for the French 1st Engineer Regiment from the late 1940s or early 1950s. The badge is diamond-shaped and has a great Art Deco design. Ceci est un insigne pour le 1° Régiment du Génie à partir de la fin des années 1940 ou début des années 1950. L'insigne est en forme de losange et a un grand art déco design.

VINTAGE: Circa late 1940s – early 1950s. Circa à partir de la fin des années 1940 ou début des années 1950.

SIZE: Approximately 2-1/16" in height and 1-3/16" in width. Environ 2.7 cm x 3 cm.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Gold-plated brass, enamel. Laiton plaqué or, émail.

ATTACHMENT: Vertical safety-style pin with saddle. Verticaux de sécurité de style broches avec selle.
