Late 1940s-Early 1950s Badge for French Flotilla 9F/Insigne Pour Flottille 9F

This is a late 1940s – early 1950s badge for Flotilla 9F of the French Navy by Courtois of Paris. Flotilla 9F was so named in 1946 after originally being Fleet 9F. The group served at NAS Karouba from 1946 to 1953, and subsequently at NAS Hyères Le Palyvestre until January 195It disbanded in 197The badge shows a swan at its center against a field of blue. Gold-plated brass, enamel.

Vertical safety-style pin with saddle.
