Description
This is a fabulous and huge Westerly, Rhode Island steam fire engine No. 1 parade ribbon from June 14, 189The ribbon is in a beautiful shade of scarlet with fantastic gold wire fringing at the bottom. A cream-colored flap at the top has a great sequined star and a bar at the top of the ribbon reads WESTERLY.
VINTAGE:Circa 1894.
SIZE:Approximately 10-3/8" length and 2-3/4" width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Plated brass, brass, wire tassels, sequins, printed silk ribbon.
ATTACHMENT:Horizontal safety-style pin.

CONDITION:8- (Very Fine-Excellent): The ribbon has light wear and minor discoloration on the cream-colored portion of the ribbon, with light tarnishing to the wire fringe.
