Description
This is an extremely rare World War II United States Army Air Forces WASP (Women Air Force Service Pilots) pilot training class jacket patch for the 318th A.A.F.F.T.D. (Army Air Force Flying Training Detachment). This patch was originally owned by Margaret "Scotty" Lowell-Wallace, Class 43-W-"Scotty" Lowell-Wallace was already was a private pilot when she was asked by Jacquie Cochran to join the WASP program. By October she graduated with 180 hours from Aviation Enterprises at Avenger Field in Sweetwater, Texas. The patch is in a great Disney design and features "Fifinella", the friendly female gremlin drawn by Roald Dahl for the big screen but instead adopted by the WASPS as their mascot. The patch is in embroidered in bright colors against burgundy twill.

SIZE:Approximately 4-3/4" in height and 4-3/4" in width.
