This was the type of patch worn on their A-2s and B-17 flight jackets while actually flying aircraft after their wings had been earned. This patch was originally owned by Margaret "Scotty" Lowell-Wallace, Class 43-W-6. "Scotty" Lowell-Wallace was already was a private pilot when she was asked by Jacquie Cochran to join the WASP program. By October she graduated with 180 hours from Aviation Enterprises at Avenger Field in Sweetwater, Texas. The patch is a great Disney design and features "Fifinella", the friendly female gremlin drawn by Roald Dahl for the big screen but instead adopted by the WASPS as their mascot.

VINTAGE: Circa World War II.

SIZE: Approximately 4-7/16" in height and 3-1/4" in width.
