This is an extremely rare circa late 1930s or World War II Bulgarian Royal Glider Pilot badge, 2nd Class. No more than fifty pilots had a badge such as this one. It is an enameled lone gull.
VINTAGE:Circa late 1930s-WWII.
SIZE:Approximately 2" in width and 1/2" in height.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Plated brass, enamel.
ATTACHMENT:Horizontal safety-style pin with round saddle.
MARKINGS:None.
ITEM NOTES:This is from a 1930s-WWII Bulgarian pilot badge collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VAEJX16 LFGEX10/16
CONDITION:7+ (Very Fine+): The badge has only one very small spot of light wear to the enamel.
