Description
This is an extremely rare circa early 1930s Bulgarian Secret Military pilot exam wing. After World War I, Bulgaria kept training pilots despite being forbidden from having an official Air Force by treaty. The wing is a generic-looking eagle with detailed wings and has a maker mark on reverse.
VINTAGE:Circa early 1930s.
SIZE:Approximately 5/8" in height and 2-1/2" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Gold wash on silver, or on silver plated brass. Looks like silver, but I am not certain of Bulgarian silver marks. .
ATTACHMENT:Horizontal pin with C catch.
MARKINGS:Maker mark with 3-23-89 at center.
