ARTIFACT:
Extremely rare, huge, circa 1951 – 1952 United States Air Force Det. 1, 3rd Air Reserve Squadron jacket patch fully embroidered and made in Japan. The center depicts a Sikorsky H-19A helicopter that reads: "RESCUE" and shows the USAF aircraft emblem against a background of blue with a yellow image of Korea. Along the top of the patch it reads: "DET. 1 – 3rd ARS" and along the bottom: "KOREA".
