ARTIFACT: This is an extremely rare Norwegian Volunteer "Front Kjemper" (front fighter) badge. The badge was German-made in 900 silver for wear by German soldiers both fighting with and commanding Norwegian Volunteer units with the General Army or SS. The badge was conceived of by Vidkun Quisling and first awarded in October 1943. The badge has a hexagonal frame and shows an armored Nordic soldier at its center with a sword raised above his helmet.

VINTAGE: Circa World War II.

SIZE: Approximately 1-3/4" in height and 1-5/16" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: 900 silver.

ATTACHMENT: Vertical T-style pin with C catch.

MARKINGS: 900

CONDITION: 7 (Very Fine): The badge has some small areas of light to medium wear and tarnish; pin is intact but does not stay hooked into catch.
